photography

“Through the lens I carry Country’s golden hour, its dust and light, letting its stories travel beyond horizon and memory.”

For me, photography is both an art form and a powerful way to preserve memories. It cuts through all of life's noise and can "take you right back to that moment".

My photography offers a different way of seeing compared to traditional aerial Indigenous art. I like to get up close with both identity and Country. My portraits blend with landscapes in a way that can't be easily labeled, revealing many layers.

I'm drawn to capturing subtle colours that many people miss, like the way a campfire transitions from amber red to charcoal black. These natural colour palettes also inspire my paintings and other artistic work.

I was deeply honoured when the Western Australian Minister for Creative Industries, Hon. Simone McGurk, purchased one of my photographs at the 2025 Revealed Exhibition at PICA. This piece showed my mother's country. When I created it, I simply wanted to show a different perspective: I wanted to show what our Country can offer. I wanted to show here's my country. Here's Australia.

If a piece speaks to you, reach out, we can shape something together.
